Unpaid Endorsement: The Convos With Clay Podcast

Clay Steves gives the unique opportunity to discuss the intersection between leadership and faith on his podcast. Regardless of where you stand on religion, the parallels which exist between stepping out in faith to follow a greater cause or power and also to turn around to lead and inspire others to follow you always lead to interesting conversations. Of course, no one said either path would be easy. Doubts and frustrations abound, and we all deal with where our locus of control actually exists - or not. In our conversation, we unpack some of the more painful (and entertaining) moments as a leader in both personal and professional settings. As much as we like to cling to the idea that leadership is straightforward, it’s anything but easy. Then again, to deny God’s sovereignty in our valleys is to deny His power altogether. The most teachable moments in our leadership journeys involve failure - and though we’d hate to admit it, experiencing failure is one of the most loving things God can do. Whether you agree with this statement or not, I believe God plays the long game with each of our lives - and so should you.
